Not in Nottingham.

Every town
Has its ups and down
Sometime ups
Outnumber the downs
But not in Nottingham
I’m inclined to believe
If we were so down
We’d up and leave
We’d up and fly if we had wings for flyin’
Can’t you see the tears we’re cryin’?
Can’t there be some happiness for me?
Not in Nottingham

Good old Roger Miller got us sussed eh?

I love that song… while depressing, classic Robin Hood music there… I especially love the old Disney Cartoon of Robin Hood… Not sure why. 🙂

    Oh Barnze,

Take care and take heart, Notts is not alone. What do you feel is the cause behind the upswing in crime there? Drugs, disgruntled youth, just mans inhumanity to man? Your post prompted me to investigate news on the web regarding Nottingham. Let me first applaud your citizens for speaking out like they do. It was very refreshing to read that people are actually shocked and apalled. Here in the U.S. we have become so
desensitized to crime. Its because when we could have “taken back our streets” years, no make that decades ago, people didn’t get involved. So if you still live in a relatively “sane” area, get involved and don’t put up with this from criminal element……if its ignored…..they move in like cockroaches…….and multiply. just sign me……51 and out running the roaches.

We here in Hood Town have had a gut full of the stabbings/shootings etc,Not a lot we can do but some voices are heard in high places. Another stabbing this week,in the eye for fucksake!
Will it end? I think not,a global cancer of violent crime has a hold now.

    Oh well keep smiling eh!
