Loads of finch and the odd tit.

Off out for the pre holiday haircut today.Ya gotta get down to the wood when you are gunna get some sun on your nut.All over with the number one blade and only a fiver,now that is a bargain,I am not sure if my old barber Speedy is still working now as the new barbers seem to have taken all the custom, Way of the world i reckon!

I was just looking out at the bird feeders and i reckon the birds are getting through 3 maybe 4 kilos of feed a week from us alone, as all the feeders are full of birds and about 20 more birds forming a disorderly queue to get on um. Those folks selling bird food are on to a winner!

Anyroad i am off to get my hair cut,i might get my throat cut whilst im there.

Seven days and counting…

Just one week today and we will be off to the sun,Back to the factory tomorrow night for the night shifts then I’m done, The lovely Mrs B finishes on Friday so we are well chuffed. Lets hope for a good week eh?

The weather is nice today though rain is forecast there is no sign of it yet,Perhaps an hour on the patio is in order?

Another stabbing here in Hood Town over the weekend, How shit is that, You just never know when your time is coming nowadays eh? Is it ever gunna end?

A nice sight earlier today as a flock of Blue Tits swooped in on our bird feeders,odd to see really as we normally only get the one pair come in, and i managed to hit the big fat ginger cat on the back today, A well aimed lob with a bottle opener (All i had at hand) hit the mark,Meee Owwwww!

The days off are here again after what has been an unusually tough week of day shifts,No drinks after work this week due to the shifts ending on a Saturday and us all wanting to spend some quality time with our loved ones..Next time on days the whole crew will be up the pub for a debrief and a few pints after the last shift..Nice!

It is good to see the garden in full bloom again and the bugs, birds and the rest of the wildlife taking advantage of it,Even my Guz-Gogs are getting fatter..Soon be picking and eating them before the birds get um.

A few chores tomorow and my tattoo on Tuesday so i reckon plenty of chillin time in between should do me some good. Every day brings the holiday nearer eh?

The Sherwood sniper strikes again…Personally i can’t fault it,The stinking moggy was most likely killing birds and shitting in his garden.

The country life for me.

Another grey damp morning…Mind you i am off out with the lovely Mrs B tonight for a few beers to celebrate a couple of folks birthdays so my spirits are up and only the day shifts to do before we are off for some easy listening and a night in Gainsborough..Oh and plans for another jaunt somewhere..A bit of countryside would be nice so i am gunna be looking up a few places to visit, Ya can’t beat a few days amoung the trees to chill out i reckon. Bakewell or Buxton look nice..A bit of walking to free the soul & the Peaks seem to do it for me!

I have notice i have another avid reader who is spending hours reading this load of shite..odd how my crap can suck folks in. Mind you one of my favorite visitors is still the backstabber..He pops in 6 or 7 times a day hanging on my every word! Loser!

Are you looking at my bird?

This morning must have been a bumper bug day in our garden as we were visited by a crowd of birds in a feeding frenzy, it is good to see the long tailed tits back again as they are becoming regular visitors here. We are noticing the numbers rising as less and less of those flea ridden moggies enter the garden so i am well chuffed about that. I hate cats!

Kind of a salad feel to today so i am off up the shops for a bunch of veggies and some crusty bread later, hey there might even be some news on the new retailer..Then again maybe not as i was talking to one of the staff up at the Co-Op the other day and was told that they (The staff) would be told next week..All this excitement is killing me.

Walk on by.

Well let me tell ya about our holiday eh? Well i’m posting it anyroad.. We did a shit load of walking and a shit load of different ciders i can tell ya, if you get down to somerset anytime try a drop of chedder Valley..it’s top class stuff,mind you i never had a bad pint down there. we were lucky enough to start one walk on the right side of this hill and a bit of a bugger going down so i hate to think how it feels going up??

Not many steep drops like that but we got lucky i reckon.Exmoor has some lovely views but ya gotta hike for um..well worth the effort i reckon.

All of the little villages we ended up in were very friendly and the ale was spot on..Tell ya what though..After walking for 15 on miles in the hills and a few pints of cider i slept like a log.

 

We even made it down to Minehead..Not going there again as its a crap place to visit !! Mind you i got to play on the beach for a bit so not all that crap i suppose.

I spotted a frog out in the garden today so that’s good news. I reckon they will use our scrape if all goes well. it would be good to get some spawn in there! The Great tits have been in and out all day so i reckon they are nesting close by though i can’t see the nest in the garden? It makes me wonder if our resident hedgehog has been eating the frogs cuz i ain’t seen many this year and that is odd cuz the next door neighbour has a pond?

I supose it all comes down to the food chain eh?

Warm days & sore pussys.

Well a bit of a busy week at the factory and what with the weather being nice we have been suffering but a few ice creams and cold cans of pop we got through..a bit of phone negotiations with Douggie from me has turned up trumps as he is seeing his GP on Wednesday and getting signed off ready for work on Saturday night..Nice one mate,You are badly needed on the shop floor.

A bit of an odd one earlier this week as some of the neighbours decided to nip around the back of Barnze Towers to admire our garden???  Mind you our security system and cctv soon picked um up.Some folks are just weird! Speaking of the garden, I have just taken delivery of some barbed wire to make my fence cat proof as we still get the stinking bird killing things climbing over..A few sore pussys once it is installed. The sonic device works well but i still don’t want the flea ridden moggies using my patio as a toilet so arming my fence should see an end to that! Oh and eating cats is good. They say it tastes like chicken. I wonder if they make good kababs?

A nice day again today so a good chance to get my washing out and if it holds out i may even get a bit of sun bathing done..Nice for us who work hard to get some doss time eh! What with our hols being just a few weeks away now it would be good to get some sun on my back as a primer for a week away.

My mate Dave the belt starts work at the factory this week and good news is he will be coming on to my team to replace the Ginger Mauler (who has had so much time off he has spent more time at home than work) so all is good there..You will enjoy the challenge Dave.

The last day off before the shifts start again and a nice day it is apart from that black cat stalking the birds again..Fucking vermin!

Last nights meal went well and as it is my last day off we are going for some outside catering tonight so who know what we will be having? Oh and i have a spot forming just above my right eyebrow..I wonder if i am going through puberty? I never suffered much from spots as a kid so i reckon having one now ain’t all that bad, Mind you i must admit i have had a go at it but no joy apart from giving myself some pain..We never learn eh?

Hey have you had a go on those Coinstar machines that are popping up in supermarkets? a good way of getting rid of your change. We bung all our coppers in a tin until it is just about too heavy to carry then take um to Asda (Wal-Mart) and bung um in..A good idea i reckon,Some charity gets a percentage so everyone is happy..Hey i am doing my bit! I reckon i have another tenner for our next trip! Oh and ya can allus find a foreign coin or two in the reject tray..Found some euros on our last visit..Free money can’t be all that bad can it?

Anyroad as it is warm n sunny i reckon i am gunna get out on the patio for a read and a bit of nature, Plenty of stones at hand just in case the local flea ridden moggies make an appearance.
