Cold or what?

Kin aider its cold..no chance of the scooter getting on the road yet as our road is frozen over.Off work now till Boxing day (My Birthday) so well chuffed at spending crimbo with the family as i was working for the last 2..

I saw a bloke slip on the ice and fall on his face earlier today,its hard not to laugh but i did. I suppose i should feel bad about it but it was funny watching his shopping roll down the hill.

Anyroad i am off to sort dinner out,keep warm take care and mind ya don’t slip on the ice,theres allus some sad bastard laughing at ya.

Glad to see the back of that working week i can tell ya,me n Douggie played a blinder,Shane we have some more weekends to work though as i am well up for some quality time with the lovely Mrs B but as i have crimbo off all is not lost eh?

Young master B has a new girlfriend (Again) a nice girl so lets hope it lasts..Mind you he flits in and out with them so who knows???

Not much time to waste on here today as i need to snuggle up on the settee with lovely so i am off.

Crimbo been and gone,I hope you lot had a good one,i was working most of it so mine is starting now,The factory was busy over the hols and both me n Douggie came away with aches n pains but well up for our days off,all we have to do now is get the new year shifts out of the way eh!!

Mind you the winter hol is not to far in the future so there is allus something to look forward to eh?

I ain’t had a lot of time to post and catch up on the rest of the worlds postings so i am gunna be browsing a bit today..With a chunk of crimbo cake in my mitt!

A big job.

I was glad to be stuck in the conning tower last night as the lads on the shop floor had it all on, it’s the way the job goes, one miniute you are drinking tea and the next you have 9 hours of none stop hard graft..Well done lads!

Our gaffer is back on Monday so i will be back floor next week, but untill then it’s my days off. a bit of shopping to do for the festive season (Spare a thought for those of us working over the holidays) and we are sorted for Crimbo.

Speaking of festive on opening the 8th window of our chockie advent calendar i found a small note with the words “Skanked” on it..Young master B had worked his way into the back of the calendat and nicked my chockie!!! revenge is now in the planning.

Anyroad i’m off up to Woolies for a bargain or two.

Still finding new stuff on the pod and i just cant suss out how i managed without it..Life before the pod was good.now it just got better.

A good first two shifts at the factory and what with a rostering fuck up giving me two extra bods on Sunday things are going well,The last bit of Crimbo shopping to be done this weekend and i will be set for the festive season.

Good news from across the water as Ken the Bubble is coming over from Kefelonia to visit his family so i reckon there will be time to catch up with him for a few beers and perhaps he can kick our arses on the bowling lanes again.See ya soon mate.

Antroad i gotta get a shower before the next shift so i”m off, Have a good un and take care out there.

Well that working week soon went by and with this being my last shift i am well chuffed it went without owt to talk about apart from a scattering of snow that barley covered the ground and a dead magpie on the roof nowt much to mark it as a bad un.

Me n the lovely Mrs B will both be off at the end of the week so a bit of crimbo shopping is in order..i like shopping for prezzies me. Oh and the final destination for our winter hols has been found and holiday booked..Lanzarote… Never been there before so well up for it! A place on the south end of the island for an all inclusive doss sounds good to me.

So all good news…Mind you i aint counting chickens,As Monday night shifts have allus been a bit of a bastard for us so fingers crossed we have a good un.

Stew Weather.

As the days get colder as we go on towards crimbo i have decided it’s stew time .. The pot is simmering down there in the kitchen and the smell is brill.we get a good couple of days feed out of that one pot and with a few dumplings in i reckon it’s one of the good things about this time of year.

It’s National Dyslexia week this week so thank fuck for spell checkers eh..not that i don’t use it all the time as my spelling is shite at the best of times..

A bit of a rough time coming up at the factory as we need to set on a couple of bods before the crimbo rush and i reckon we will be a man down for a few weeks at least..Shit happens eh?

Well i reckon Autumn is here..The leaves on our trees are starting to fall & the mornings have been foggy & damp.  The Goose Fair is opening today,Not that we shall be going to it but i am sure hundreds of thousands of quids will be spent there over the next few days..My cash is staying in my pocket..Speaking of pockets, keep ya hand on ya wallet if you visit the fair as it’s a big few days for the pickpockets.

One of the bad things about this time of year is the dark..It puts folks in grumpy moods & has them shuffling along with their heads down & smiles are missing untill Crimbo then it’s heads down till March..Some folks even get sick from the dark..Other than that i must say i like it. i am well chuffed i am not on the nights shift on 26th of October when the clocks go back an hour..Did it last year and that extra hour in the factory is a bastard i can tell ya!

Ain’t monday’s brill?

Another splendid morning here in Hood Town, A bit crisp but sunshine and bird song knock the edge off that..It makes me feel good and i have noticed the sun coming up earlier every day giving the garden some life boost.

I got the PC repair bloke coming around at about 3ish so i hope all goes well there.before then i am off up the shops for some eggs (Free range of course) so we can have a full English for dinner, Ya can’t beat a good fry up!

A bit of a late one last night as i watched “For a few dollars more” number two from a box set of spaghetti westerns i received at crimbo, And the train did stop at Tucumcari. Top stuff i reckon.

Well crimbo has been and gone, The bins are full off torn wrapping paper and crushed beer cans, Folks shouting at the top of their voices “Merry Christmas” and the odd firework going off and then nothing..The end of crimbo…Boxing day saw me get up quite early as us old folk tend to do..Off into Hood Town for a look around the shops and a pint in the Bell then a quiet night in with the lovely Mrs B..

I always reckon that crimbo becomes a thing of the past quicker than any other celebration & in my mind a good thing too.. Sadly Mrs B is back at the office today though i am not due back at the factory till Saturday morning.

Anyroad i hope you all had a good festive day..I’m off to polish my new car then i am gunna spend a few hours in front of my new 20 foot plasma tele whilst telling the time from my new rolex watch..
