A hell of a week,4 days off now and only 9 weeks until the first holiday of the year. Ahhh life is good.
It is good to be in daylight driving home after a night shift,i will be well chuffed to see the back of Winter this year i can tell ya,Been a long , dark ,cold bag of shite. A lovely time of year Spring.

Once again another stabbing here in Hood Town.another poor fucker with an extra belly button..And down there in the big smoke another life gone as the knife hits home again.. What the hell is going on eh? Gone are the days of a bit of a punch up if you had a bit of a barney with some one, mind you i reckon you just have to get contact with the wrong pair of eyes nowadays to risk losing your life! A shit time for us all.

Just heard from some of the staff in the Co-Op that they are being told who is taking over the shop today..i am hoping for Morrisons but they think Tesco..owt will do just as long as the Co-Op closes i shall be happy. I hope that some of the staff stay on to work in the new shop and i hope some of um just bugger off. Those who hide all day behind the fag counter can go. Up their own arses most of the time i reckon.
Who ever takes the shop on is a bouns to me..every little helps as they say!

Pissing down with rain today…Mind you i don’t feel like doing much as i had a drop too much beer last night and i am a bit fuzzy today.I got a smile off my site meter today though as the old factory dropped in four times today..Allus makes me grin when they pop in. They seem to be unable to keep away and since the IT fuck up that could not happen…. but did, it gives me a warm feeling knowing they know that i know..Is that a Slade song?
A stir fry on the menu tonight so only a bit of prepping to do and we are there. Speaking of food last nights meal at the pub was good.They have done a good job of the place i reckon and i will visit again when the fancy takes.
The street theater has been good lately as it seems to be the in thing to sware at the youngsters..No wonder they grow up with no respect!!!

Just got back from the pub after a pleasant walk along the Trent. Feeling full of good food and beer and relaxed after the stroll amongst the trees. The bird song down there was soothing to the mind and the gentle bubble of the river makes for a very relaxing walk.
A nice mixed grill for me and lemon and herb chicken for the lovely Mrs B went down a treat and with the excitement of Mrs B spilling her drink all over the table made for a good time. A bit of a quiet night in tonight cuz we are up early for the birds of prey in the morning. All in a nice few days spent together..Holidays just a few weeks away so all is well.
Young master B is well chuffed with his birthday prezzy and is happy with the choice of games we brought for him..now all he has to do is get his room tidied up a bit and we all shall be chuffed..i ain’t holding my breath!

A sort of nutty night last night at the factory but by 3am the time had flew by and we did all that was expected and a bit more , mind you our man the Mauler is on holiday so we had Mmazz with us so we all got stuck in. A bit cooler during the early morning but it was good to see daylight creeping in about 4 ish.
I even magaged to get the quarter two bus so i was well pleased about that so i shall pay back the favor tonight.. it’s all about scratching backs i reckon!
I see in the news that someone had a proper kicking again here in Hood Town, And from the comment’s it looks like folks are losing faith and wishing to form vigilante groups?? Now i am not for a Guardian Angles type thing but i do think if you come across a beating like this if ys feel ya could handle it then get stuck in! Come to think of it i recall those Guardian Angels coming over here to England and copping a pasting a few years back.

i am getting into holiday mode at the moment as the falconry day is next week and the trip to Somerset not far away. Kind of lifts the spirits i reckon..we always have something to look forward to i reckon.
A bit of outside catering tonight as it’s too warm to cook. I fancy a large deep pan jobby with loads of chillies on it..MMmmmmmmm.
Back to the factory tomorow night and its Douggies last stint for a few weeks as he goes to get his knee fixed and is due to have about a month off work.. Get well soon mate.

Another splendid morning here in Hood Town, A bit crisp but sunshine and bird song knock the edge off that..It makes me feel good and i have noticed the sun coming up earlier every day giving the garden some life boost.
I got the PC repair bloke coming around at about 3ish so i hope all goes well there.before then i am off up the shops for some eggs (Free range of course) so we can have a full English for dinner, Ya can’t beat a good fry up!
A bit of a late one last night as i watched “For a few dollars more” number two from a box set of spaghetti westerns i received at crimbo, And the train did stop at Tucumcari. Top stuff i reckon.

Another good day yesterday..Up to Hood Town for a bit of lunch n a bottle of wine with the lovely Mrs B,a browse through the shops with some hand holding thrown in..Nice.. We were going to take a trip up to Skeggy but as the weather was shite and the place burnt down we gave it a miss. But we had a good day even though we never got to ride a donkey!
A great end to one of the best weeks for a long time ..And with September just a few weeks away the good times are sticking around!
I see on the news that the Dalai Lama is to visit us next year..Good to have a man of peace in town for a change,Though charging up to a hundred quid to listen to him is a bit shit..Why not broadcast his words via radio and let everyone listen for free? All well n good having him here but fair do’s eh?
I have a few words of peace..Drop the knife,Put the gun away,Don’t break into the house…Not quite world changing but it’s a start!
