Holidays and good times.

The first holiday of the year will soon be upon me,Well up for some sun and fun after a stint of falking hard work by both myself and the lovely Mrs B,We have been putting in some top efforts on the work front and are due some down time.

The weather is picking up here now (Today is spot on) and the sunshine brings a smile to faces that were grim just a month ago. The garden is shooting to life again and the wildlife is moving back in,The resident hedgehog came out for a wander a few nights back and is looking good after its winter sleep.Spring is a great time of year.

Good to see some top class reviews of my mate Dan’s play in the news he deserves the best after putting in a lot of work,Good luck with all you do mate. I am hoping that ” Our style is legendary” plays in its home town of Nottingham,I would love to see it played here and it would be good to catch up with Dan again.

Speaking of the arts i am well chuffed to see we are again going to be having some outdoor theatre up at Notts Castle, i shall be having a portion of that later in the year.

Anyroad its time i got stuck into prepping for dinner,Have a good one and stay safe out there.

A long cold winter

It has been a cold one over the last few months but i reckon its gunna be a good year,All is well at the factory and with 3 holidays booked the year is going well.

I have just about quit smoking now and am just on the odd cigar to stave off the cravings,We are now saving a few more quid so good time to be had with the extra wonga.

The grudge is alive and well inside me as some things just can not be forgotten,Mind you i have never been a forgive & forgetter……..You know who you are.

The garden is just coming back to life now and i am well looking forward to seeing how the big tree looks in leaf after it has been reduced and trimmed, Lets hope it reduces the amount of cleaning up we have to do in the Autumn.

I have got to sort out my driving test soon,So i have been boning up on the test with one of those PC base jobbies,Time will tell.

Anyroad i am off to marinade some chicken,Have a good one and take care out there.

Feel the heat…

We had a belting time last night around at Mass’s place and it was good to catch up with some old mates and meet some new one’s,The food went down well unall.

Me n Master B spent a few hours playing with the fire,and went home stinking but happy after getting rid of Mass’s lopped trees and opps that fence panel….I even got an invite to a catch up with a gang of old muckers but sadly i am working that night and have no hols left so can’t attend..maybe next time?

Today is just chill out time as i am back at the factory tonight for the start of the night shifts including the dreaded Manic Monday night shift,We all hate that one i can tell ya.

Anyroad just a quicky as i am off on the interweb to chase up my pension…Age is brill ain’t it?

Oh no the bamboo is on fire.

 

We had a great time last night setting off our fireworks,So good that we used um all even the ones i wanted to take to my mate Mass’s house…only one went wrong…A 16 shot jobbie that fell over and discharged it’s load into our bamboo plants, i thought we were gunna go up in flames but it was ok and made us laugh..A lot!

Back to the factory on Sunday night so those 12 days off have zoomed by and a long wait now till the winter holiday in February/March…The long dark nights!

A nice lump of rib eye steak for me n the lad and a lovely rainbow trout for Mrs B is on the cards for tonights meal,a bottle of wine and a nice unwind for Mrs B after a hectic week at the office. She is so lucky to have a bloke like me to pamper her.

Feel the pain..

I am still poorly…Mind ya aint everyone?

Mrs B has had her first sitting up at the tattooists and a good piece of art in the making,I shant say anymore until it has been finished but it does look like it is gunna be a good un.

Well up for bonny night as we get to do it twice what with my old muckker Mass having a get together the folowing Saturday.I do like a good burn me & we have plenty of fireworks for both functions. Mind you its only the family on the actual night and we aint let a banger off in years so i am looking forward to it.

The weather is shite at the moment and the wind has brought all the leaves onto the garden and the job of picking um up will soom be here if it keeps dry for a day.I do like playing with the leaf blower as it is a bit like the BFG from the game Doom. Come get some!

Mrs B is baking today so loads of tarts to get stuck into later…NICE!

Loads of finch and the odd tit.

Off out for the pre holiday haircut today.Ya gotta get down to the wood when you are gunna get some sun on your nut.All over with the number one blade and only a fiver,now that is a bargain,I am not sure if my old barber Speedy is still working now as the new barbers seem to have taken all the custom, Way of the world i reckon!

I was just looking out at the bird feeders and i reckon the birds are getting through 3 maybe 4 kilos of feed a week from us alone, as all the feeders are full of birds and about 20 more birds forming a disorderly queue to get on um. Those folks selling bird food are on to a winner!

Anyroad i am off to get my hair cut,i might get my throat cut whilst im there.

A bruse and a crying pussy.

A shit week at the factory and i have come away with a belter of a bruse as a piece of work got loose and gave me a whack…Ouch! Mind you with only one weeks work to do till the holiday the pain aint all that bad. We were working two members down for two days so there was bound to be problems! 150 % you can put in but ya just can’t cover that extra 50%.

Well ready for some time off i can tell ya!

We were disturbed by the big fat ginger cat last night as it struck up one of the those baby crying noises they make..By the time i got outside the fat bastard had buggered off. Folks who insist on keeping the flea ridden things should get um indoors at night as they are prone to getting a stone lobbed at um here at Barnze Towers. I have set up a canch of stones nearer the door now giving me the extra edge. Time to get some paint balls in the freezer i reckon.

Anyroad i have got some shopping to do and inspiration to find for todays dinner so i am off. If you have one keep your pussy behind closed doors.

Circus passing by…

The street theater is well on form today,what with the pot bellied neanderthal man shouting at his kids and the reply from the gollum like child of  “Fuck Off “, i just know that this shite will go on into the night. Mind you we have been lucky the last few weeks so i can’t moan….Can I ?

I spent a bit of time pruning one of our trees today and ended up covered in spiders and bugs to the point where i had two yes two in my mouth..They don’t taste good i can tell ya. The tree looks better for it but it has put me off doing the job again!!

A nice piece of smoked haddock and mash for our dinner tonight so there should be a bit of wind about as there is a large portion of mushy peas alongside of it..I do like the fart joke,Puerile i know but i like purile me.

Rain…More rain and a bit of drizzle, What happened to the heatwave the met office promised us eh? Mind you it’s good for the garden so not all bad news!

I have just read about this senseless attack on a bloke pushing a pushchair with his eight week old daughter in it..How fucked is that eh? Who would do something like that? Nothing and no one is immune from this kind of attack nowadays, i reckon you have got to be some special kind of nutter to do that kind of thing. Lets hope the attacker gets whats due eh?

Seven days and counting…

Just one week today and we will be off to the sun,Back to the factory tomorrow night for the night shifts then I’m done, The lovely Mrs B finishes on Friday so we are well chuffed. Lets hope for a good week eh?

The weather is nice today though rain is forecast there is no sign of it yet,Perhaps an hour on the patio is in order?

Another stabbing here in Hood Town over the weekend, How shit is that, You just never know when your time is coming nowadays eh? Is it ever gunna end?

A nice sight earlier today as a flock of Blue Tits swooped in on our bird feeders,odd to see really as we normally only get the one pair come in, and i managed to hit the big fat ginger cat on the back today, A well aimed lob with a bottle opener (All i had at hand) hit the mark,Meee Owwwww!
