January 22, 2009

Nice work i reckon. A piece by a local artist known as Questionmarc, There’s is more on his/her website. I am looking forward to a bit more content and will post up some of it that takes my fancy, Mind you the Nottingham Evening Post takes a grim view of it all,But what do they know?  I reckon that some of the graffiti here in Hood Town is spot on,Some good stuff to be seen from trains coming into town.

Have a good one and stay safe.

Good news week..

More good news recieved yesterday…I love this week!

Ain’t trees brill.

August 3, 2007

How shit is it to live on a street without trees?

The oaks and the pines, and their brethren of the wood,
have seen so many suns rise and set, so many seasons come and go,
and so many generations pass into silence,
that we may well wonder what “the story of the trees” would be to us
if they had tongues to tell it, or we ears fine enough to understand.

Lashing down.

Rain, now’t but rain all day n all last night,i love it,reminds me of when i was a kid, we had rhymes for making more or less rain depending on what was going on,If you were going on a day out somewhere good and you wanted the rain to stop you sang “Rain rain go away, come back another day” and if you wanted more rain you sang “Alley alley aster, rain rain faster” mind you needless to say it never worked.

Anyroad a good shift last night so all is well at the factory, our shift boss was back after a fortnights holiday and was gobsmacked at some new procedures we are now following,us on the shop floor stay as we are just a bit extra work for him,we can’t grumble, but he did! Hey it’s all down to the extra shilling ain’t it?

Right then i’m due in a bit earlier at the factory tonight so i’m off for a brew before i leave,Those of you here in Hood Town who have the weekend off can sing the rhyme of your choice depending on what you have on for the rest of the weekend,me i’m “Alley alley aster”.

Take care out there.

Pick up tha musket.

The other night when we were bowling i managed to get a bit of the “Brahn boots” monologue out of me mate Flank,And very entertaining it was unall,He mentioned something about the Yorkshire pudding monologue at the time but we never got any of that one?? I reckon i should get old Flanky as a guest poster on here so you can share some of his taste in poetery! He never fails to make me smile!

Serendipity this morning as i was passing by Mrs Bs office i caught her having a coffee in the sunshine so i grabbed a quick kiss n a cuddle before i went about my business ,Moments like that are priceless i reckon.

Its good to see the daffs putting on a show on the way into town unall, spring is here at last.

Anyroad i got some spuds to peal so i’m off have a good one and stay safe.
