A long cold winter

It has been a cold one over the last few months but i reckon its gunna be a good year,All is well at the factory and with 3 holidays booked the year is going well.

I have just about quit smoking now and am just on the odd cigar to stave off the cravings,We are now saving a few more quid so good time to be had with the extra wonga.

The grudge is alive and well inside me as some things just can not be forgotten,Mind you i have never been a forgive & forgetter……..You know who you are.

The garden is just coming back to life now and i am well looking forward to seeing how the big tree looks in leaf after it has been reduced and trimmed, Lets hope it reduces the amount of cleaning up we have to do in the Autumn.

I have got to sort out my driving test soon,So i have been boning up on the test with one of those PC base jobbies,Time will tell.

Anyroad i am off to marinade some chicken,Have a good one and take care out there.

Feel the heat…

We had a belting time last night around at Mass’s place and it was good to catch up with some old mates and meet some new one’s,The food went down well unall.

Me n Master B spent a few hours playing with the fire,and went home stinking but happy after getting rid of Mass’s lopped trees and opps that fence panel….I even got an invite to a catch up with a gang of old muckers but sadly i am working that night and have no hols left so can’t attend..maybe next time?

Today is just chill out time as i am back at the factory tonight for the start of the night shifts including the dreaded Manic Monday night shift,We all hate that one i can tell ya.

Anyroad just a quicky as i am off on the interweb to chase up my pension…Age is brill ain’t it?

I am still poorly…Mind ya aint everyone?

Mrs B has had her first sitting up at the tattooists and a good piece of art in the making,I shant say anymore until it has been finished but it does look like it is gunna be a good un.

Well up for bonny night as we get to do it twice what with my old muckker Mass having a get together the folowing Saturday.I do like a good burn me & we have plenty of fireworks for both functions. Mind you its only the family on the actual night and we aint let a banger off in years so i am looking forward to it.

The weather is shite at the moment and the wind has brought all the leaves onto the garden and the job of picking um up will soom be here if it keeps dry for a day.I do like playing with the leaf blower as it is a bit like the BFG from the game Doom. Come get some!

Mrs B is baking today so loads of tarts to get stuck into later…NICE!

Circus passing by…

The street theater is well on form today,what with the pot bellied neanderthal man shouting at his kids and the reply from the gollum like child of  “Fuck Off “, i just know that this shite will go on into the night. Mind you we have been lucky the last few weeks so i can’t moan….Can I ?

I spent a bit of time pruning one of our trees today and ended up covered in spiders and bugs to the point where i had two yes two in my mouth..They don’t taste good i can tell ya. The tree looks better for it but it has put me off doing the job again!!

A nice piece of smoked haddock and mash for our dinner tonight so there should be a bit of wind about as there is a large portion of mushy peas alongside of it..I do like the fart joke,Puerile i know but i like purile me.

That’s the working week behind me and with a few cold ones out the front of the pub last night a good end to another hard week, now a few days off and a good start as i did not wake up till well after half ten today,I have been well looking forward to catching up on the sleep i can tell ya.

Outside catering tonight so no cooking for me..Nice!

Off out shopping with the lovely Mrs B on Friday,Mind you i had best slip on the kevlar vest as there is a sniper about in Bulwell not quite what you want while you are shopping.

Good to see the sun shining and the garden looking good,i even managed to get a little fat guz-gog of my bush before the birds and bugs got to it,The whole garden is in tip top condition (All Mrs Bs work) thanks to my watering skills.

Anyroad i am off for a brew now,Have a good one and mind you don’t cop a pellet in the eye if you are out and about in Hood Town.

The days off are here again after what has been an unusually tough week of day shifts,No drinks after work this week due to the shifts ending on a Saturday and us all wanting to spend some quality time with our loved ones..Next time on days the whole crew will be up the pub for a debrief and a few pints after the last shift..Nice!

It is good to see the garden in full bloom again and the bugs, birds and the rest of the wildlife taking advantage of it,Even my Guz-Gogs are getting fatter..Soon be picking and eating them before the birds get um.

A few chores tomorow and my tattoo on Tuesday so i reckon plenty of chillin time in between should do me some good. Every day brings the holiday nearer eh?

Well i reckon Autumn is here..The leaves on our trees are starting to fall & the mornings have been foggy & damp.  The Goose Fair is opening today,Not that we shall be going to it but i am sure hundreds of thousands of quids will be spent there over the next few days..My cash is staying in my pocket..Speaking of pockets, keep ya hand on ya wallet if you visit the fair as it’s a big few days for the pickpockets.

One of the bad things about this time of year is the dark..It puts folks in grumpy moods & has them shuffling along with their heads down & smiles are missing untill Crimbo then it’s heads down till March..Some folks even get sick from the dark..Other than that i must say i like it. i am well chuffed i am not on the nights shift on 26th of October when the clocks go back an hour..Did it last year and that extra hour in the factory is a bastard i can tell ya!

Are you looking at my bird?

This morning must have been a bumper bug day in our garden as we were visited by a crowd of birds in a feeding frenzy, it is good to see the long tailed tits back again as they are becoming regular visitors here. We are noticing the numbers rising as less and less of those flea ridden moggies enter the garden so i am well chuffed about that. I hate cats!

Kind of a salad feel to today so i am off up the shops for a bunch of veggies and some crusty bread later, hey there might even be some news on the new retailer..Then again maybe not as i was talking to one of the staff up at the Co-Op the other day and was told that they (The staff) would be told next week..All this excitement is killing me.

A lovely morning..the young Great / Blue tits are wittering in the tree and the parents are in and out for food for um. A joy to watch and a surprise that we have so many survivors owing to the amount of flea ridden cats stalking about..mind you a few well placed missiles helps!

We do well with the species of wildlife we attract here at Barnze Towers..Most of it down to the lovely Mrs Bs planting and planning of the garden, Mind you not many frogs n toads this year but still time for them to make an appearance. Grunt the hedgehog has been out most evenings clearing up the slugs n snails and it is good to see him fatten up each time we see him!

Not many squirrel’s about though but they only pop in on rare occasions due to there being plenty of food about for um and the fox ain’t been seen for months???

A bit damp.

The garden is slurping up the rain this morning.with more rain to come so it’s a few days off just kicking back for me.Well with a few domestic jobs thrown in but what the hey?

Only a few week now till we nip off on our jollys and a well deserved break for us both..Then we are on the count down for the late summer sunshine break in Tenerife…Life is good. Still in the planning stages for our August break though..I fancy a few days in the Peaks..Nice and quiet, Fantastic scenery, Good beer,Good food & even better company.

Faggots,  mash n peas on the menu tonight so the old trump muscle will be on form later..yep i know it’s puerile but i like it.

I have the privalage of master Bs company for a few days as rain has stopped play at his place of work..Just what ya need when you are trying to kick back eh? A 20 year old in ya face..it takes me forever to understand him..kids eh ya gotta love um.
