Happy new year you lot.

A brill nite had by me n the lovely Mrs B and a good birthday bash for her to boot,we had some good food,a bit of dancing and a bit too much wine,Well boloxed this morning but a full English soon put me right,The lovely Mrs B has crashed out on the settee so i reckon its early to bed for us tonight.

I hope you lot had a good time seeing the new year in and hopefully you feel a bit less rough than i do at the moment,mind you its few and far between that i get mullered so i aint all that bad.

A good 2010 for us i reckon and i wish all the best to most of you lot out there,Have a good 2010 and take care eh?

A good nite out last night and we all enjoyed ourselves…You always get a good meal at Antalya’s . a pint to round off the night then home to the warm. Down hill today. Ya can’t have it good all the time.

I know its the season of goodwill to all but some out there can kiss my arse.

I am beginning to feel as if i am getting over this dragging illness,Mind you i have tried all the remedies going so i should be getting there.

What with the days off i should be good n proper for the next stint at the factory.Rest is a great healer. some good news as we have booked and confirmed our new years eve function at a hotel in Hood Town so that is something to look forward to on these dark winter days,The lovely Mrs B celebrates her birthday on new years eve and sadly the last two years i have had to work so we are well chuffed to be able to see the new year in and her birthday together this year.

The big changes at the factory that we thought were going to happen back in September are very close to coming in and a roster change will be very welcome,It looks like January now for the change,Another bonus to look forward too. So all is looking good for the new year!

Mrs B is booked in for the final session at the tattooists in the morning,and i am still pondering the last design for my back piece,Not a light decision so i and still torn between three designs …Drives me barmy to have to choose!!!!

Anyroad i got a bit of shopping to do so i am off,Have a good weekend you lot,I know i will.

Feel the heat…

We had a belting time last night around at Mass’s place and it was good to catch up with some old mates and meet some new one’s,The food went down well unall.

Me n Master B spent a few hours playing with the fire,and went home stinking but happy after getting rid of Mass’s lopped trees and opps that fence panel….I even got an invite to a catch up with a gang of old muckers but sadly i am working that night and have no hols left so can’t attend..maybe next time?

Today is just chill out time as i am back at the factory tonight for the start of the night shifts including the dreaded Manic Monday night shift,We all hate that one i can tell ya.

Anyroad just a quicky as i am off on the interweb to chase up my pension…Age is brill ain’t it?

Well that was a fast week in the sun,Well 3 days of sun then a storm or 2,More on the hols when i get back,the wonder of wireless interweb eh?

Golly what a holiday..

As you can see from the picture of a Spanish tea bag wrapper gollies are alive and well in Lanzarote.

Just a bit about our hols..The Germans have some brilliant tashes so i can’t fault um for that and i reckon the old towel on the sun lounger game is well dead and gone. If you ever make it toPuerto Blanca in Lanzarote nip into Don Cammilos grill for the best mixed grill,I do a lot of grills me but i have to say this place did the best by a mile and with a jug of sangria and a bit of garlic bread one of the best meals i have had for ages.

Apart from being a bit sparse what with mountains and miles of solidified lava the island is a nice place to walk in, though what the locals did before tourism i don’t know..Scratched around to grow a few grapes i suppose. as for the all islands in the canaries the Canarian Potatoes are spot on,Cooked in their skins and boiled in sea water, giving um a salty taste,Nice with some red MoJo sauce..Gets ya mojo working if ya know what i mean?

The beach side eateries and bars are a lot quieter than the ones in Tenerife,A lot less sky tv and more on the wine and dine idea, For me that’s the way it should be! I would go there again but not in the summer as i reckon we picked the right time to go..Not to many folks about and no touts pressing for your money.All in a great place for a week in the sun.

 A good evenings entertainment at the Playhouse last night,Though the numpty sat next to me spent most of the time explaining to his partner what was going on, I am not sure who was the thickest between um! The play was well produced and the cast carried it off in style. Not much on there now that is up our street so we have to wait until the outdoor stuff at the castle in June. Mind you with the hols only days away i ain’t to fussed about getting withdrawn from a bit of culture with the promise of sunshine just around the corner.

We made the mistake of forgetting it was valentine’s day and lost out on booking a table for a meal so ended up have some pub grub in the local..Not all that bad but i would have preferred something a bit more up market if you know what i mean? I somehow knew valentine would be poking it’s nose into my life..Perhaps i should not have slagged him eh?

A treat for dinner tonight as the lovely Mrs B is cooking her lemon chicken soup (Though i call it a stew) with dumplings, One of my favorite meals and an extra portion is being made for the freezer to keep young master B in good food whilst we are away. Nice!

Anyroad enough crap for now as i want to look on the interweb at things to see and do in Lanzarote. Have a good on you lot.

Last nights trip to the Arts was rubbish,Apart from a bugger up with our tickets the play was so poor we buggered off after act one,The acting was so poor that even a good subject like Arsenic and ols lace could not carry it, Mind you we did have a good meal and a few beers so a good night came of it. A bit better than this blokes night on the town i reckon? Another poor fuckers night ends in misery!

Back to the factory in the morning for one shift before the four days off,Now that’s what i call a working week eh?

A pack of rats!

We are off for a night on the town tomorrow to see the Legends of Las Vegas at the  Sands in Gainsborough with an overnight stay in a romantic place..How lucky can one guy be?

The weekend is gunna be a good one, and from what the crew tell me the factory was a madhouse last week..a good one to miss i reckon. And double time for Monday as it’s a bank hol things are looking good !

As the building trade is taking a nose dive young master B has branched out into landscape gardening so we may find him a few jobs in our front garden as the lovely Mrs BA pack of rats. has ideas for a veggie patch..who knows?

No cooking for me tonight as we are having outside caterers in, good for me as Mrs Bs wheat intolerance is getting in the way of menus… Mind you a good meal is on the cards for tomorrow.

A mountain stream of freshness. yeah right!

We are drinking the top tap water in the country here in Hood Town acording to a recent survey..odd that seeing as we belch millions of gallons into the ground due to leaks! Mind you i have never paid for bottled water so no change there then..i do think tap water much like milk tasted better a few years back..or is that just me?

The start of four night shifts tonight and i am well up for it..i don;t mind the weekend work over the night shifts as the time zooms by and before you know it it the days off again..we tend to be busy so the shifts go by in a flash.And the next stint of night shifts i am off with an overnight-er in Gainsborough and a bit of lounge music lobbed in..Aint life brill?
