Absolute hatstand.

Another mental shift last night and by 2 am we were all well chuffed to see the back end of the work going out. Mind you we did get a good view of the fire across the way from us..thank fuck the smoke never came our way..That’s all ya need after a hard shift. I suppose the firemen will be crowing about the first bit of work they have had to do this year.. Perhaps another strike for 40 grand a year is looming now they have had to get out of bed and do a bit!

I had a bastard of a migraine last night but managed it with a fist full of pain killers, and once the flashing had gone away i plodded on with a belting head ache, an aching neck and a taste like i had an old copper penny stuck in the back of my throat.. Those of you unlucky enough to suffer these things will know just how much pain they cause. Still a bit groggy from it now over 12 hours later..More pills i reckon.

Only two shifts to go this week so the days off are on their way.Mrs B is out for a beer or two with her colleagues on Friday whilst i shall be having a cup of char with mine..Somethings just ain’t right eh?

Yesterday was the beginning of ” Be Nice To Nettles Week ” now that’s a good week for us as we have a small Nettle patch for the caterpillars and butterflys to feed on and lay their  eggs on cuz we do like to promote nature, unlike cat owners who allow their filthy beasts to shit in other folks gardens and kill anything the stinking flea ridden bastards can jump on!

I wonder if anyone in my neighbourhood is going to enjoy ” Noise Action Week ‘ next week..it’s all about spec init?

A sort of nutty night last night at the factory but by 3am the time had flew by and we did all that was expected and a bit more , mind you our man the Mauler is on holiday so we had Mmazz with us so we all got stuck in. A bit cooler during the early morning but it was good to see daylight creeping in about 4 ish.

I even magaged to get the quarter two bus so i was well pleased about that so i shall pay back the favor tonight.. it’s all about scratching backs i reckon!

I see in the news that someone had a proper kicking again here in Hood Town, And from the comment’s it looks like folks are losing faith and wishing to form vigilante groups?? Now i am not for a Guardian Angles type thing but i do think if you come across a beating like this if ys feel ya could handle it then get stuck in! Come to think of it i recall those Guardian Angels coming over here to England and copping a pasting a few years back.

Anyroad it’s time i grabbed a shower and a few chill moments before heading back to the factory, Have a good one dear reader and do take care out there cuz ya never know what twat is around the corner.

Back to it..

The start of the night shifts tonight but all is well as we are off for our falconry day next week so the mood is good. Another glorious day here in Hood Town as the sun shines down and the air is warm. It always makes me feel good with a bit of sun on my back.

Our hedgehog has been coming out most nights and a good meal of slugs n snails is fattening him up well, mind you the cats are still hanging around outside our garden still.The sonic gadget works well i reckon.

Shots fired again yesterday here in Hood Town..Just when you thought it was safe eh?

Another corker of a day..i even found time to get in the back garden for some sun today..life’s a beach eh?

i am getting into holiday mode at the moment as the falconry day is next week and the trip to Somerset not far away. Kind of lifts the spirits i reckon..we always have something to look forward to i reckon.

A bit of outside catering tonight as it’s too warm to cook. I fancy a large deep pan jobby with loads of chillies on it..MMmmmmmmm.

Back to the factory tomorow night and its Douggies last stint for a few weeks as he goes to get his knee fixed and is due to have about a month off work.. Get well soon mate.

A nice day out..And then!

We had a good day yesterday,A pint and a cob before going up the castle then down to the market square..all in a good one.Home to listen once again to the local street theater shouting and swaring banging about and generally being annoying. It was nice to live around here at one time but the peace is gone now..Even at midnight folks are shouting out daft names to get their stinking cats attention…Another episode to log in the diary!

A nice sunny day today so alfresco dining is on the cards , a nice bit of salad and a glass of beer is well in order and with the noisey neighbours out we might get some relaxing done without distraction.

It was good to inform the staff at the Co-Op that the plans are back on the table for the new shops.I love to poke it up them.

Cabbages and kings.

Yesterday we recieved our copy of the Clifton Local News , Some interesting stuff in there this month.Take a look at the classy Chantelle’s coments on the Tram Debate.. Nice one Chantelle you are one of Cliftons diamonds.

I see that the supermarket take over of Sun Valley is back on the planning board again..Bring it on i say we need shops not bingo halls for unemployed dossers to hang out in.

Me n the lovely Mrs B are off up to the castle today for a relaxing day.I hear there is a market on in town so we may grab a bite to eat up there whilst we are about. And a pint in the trip will be nice unall.

Oh and finaly someone offered me eight legs of venison for 70 quid..is that too deer?

Phewww!!!

Well the weather has been brill over the last few days and the factory was boiling..Mind you the air con in the office had a service yesterday and we managen to get down to a cool 17 degrees so that was good and the boss brought us a slab of coke to chill for our afternoon break so all was well.

If this heat keeps up i reckon me n the lovely Mrs B will have a belting weekend! So many more options for a day out when the sun is shining..I fancy a bit of a walk around Wollo park, Perhaps grab a meal in the wheelhouse on the way out..Or a bit of a picnic up at the castle and a pint in the trip. Spoilt for choice i reckon.

Up late today after one too many ciders last night..I forgot just how much a hangover hurts..A few cups of tea soon put me right though!

Time for me to nip up the shops so i’m off, have a good weekend you lot and take care out there.

 

A falcon day out.

We have now set the date for our falconry day..So we are well looking forward to that ! been a long time coming but with the lovely Mrs B having her op & the recouping after, it’s got here..How good will it be to hunt with a falcon an your arm eh?

And the first holiday is not far away from that day out so loads of good times ahead!

I think i can smell the dinner cooking down stairs so i am off to see if there is owt i can pick at..Have a good one and stay safe.

We had a nice time walking yesterday.A steady plod up to the pub for a spot of lunch. It supprised us how much wild garlic has gotten down the grove and as i had my camera with me i grabbed this shot of some of it.. Oh and we managed to get some teasle seed to propergate for our garden, Good for the birds so a good addition to our spot of nature i reckon.

The weather was spot on so a grand time was had..mind you the service at the Ferry has not improved so it will be another few months till they get another 35 quid off me i can tell you..it’s no fun watching your food go to each table in turn only to arrive at ours cold…It was such a good place to eat at one time!!!

We bumped into some old mates Mass & Sid who were in the pub cooling down after a bike ride, Mass told us it was a year since his wedding!!! It only seems like a few months back..Time is flying by!
